James, what makes the government a "corrupt farce" besides taxes? Taxes go toward paying for the shit you use every day, from the clean drinkable water that's used to wash cars and water fucking lawns, to emergency rooms and hospitals, to police, firefighters, ambulances, unemployment, etc.
You grew up in America, right? I'm am literally from the of-referenced "Soviet Russia", and I can tell you that you can't even comprehend what is an actually bad life if you think that you live in some horrible corrupt country.
I'm not going to disagree with you on the fact that there is a lot of cronyism (where is there not?), a lot of pork, and a lot of special interests. The US is going toward fascism, in the sense of Mussolini's definition. There is definitely a merging of state and corporate interest and power. Again, I'm not making an argument that the "US is awesome and if you don't like it get out" -- I'm just saying that it's much better than many other places. There are a lot of problems that need to be addressed, and I agree with you on that.
