There once was a man from Nantucket

Who set to sea in a bucket...

There once was a boy from Peterborough

He was filled with self pity sorrows

He thought he could post

With his mind cooked like toast

He only made hell of his tomorrows

I will call the nice librarian

Regarding the boy

Mosurinjohn

They won't like to hear

He's been spreading his cheer

With their computer up there again

On a moped forum I read

Postings from a mind that is dead

Can't get a life

Can't keep a wife

And wears foil hats on his head

Where once was a boy named Bobby

Now sits a shell in the lobby

Of a mental ward up north

He can't sally forth

His brain is all sorts of slobby

Re: OT Poetry-Limmerick-rap?

I'm a strait murder all with this NOI i'm building,

don't even try, its gonna take two strokes to kill me.

ha, ha, I know them boys with the 2strokes gonna feel me.

Waltz up in the room, Mopedmaynards in the building.

I gotta SSXL in the Bull-pen, Sachs at short stop,

sebring through the ceiling!!

oh the feeling, grip the clutch, kick the pedal,

hear the rubber pealing.

Oh... and forget the bing...

Get the Dellorto,

cause like Coka-Cola, its the real thing, haha!

ya'll know how tuff them hills be.

Nah, i meant YA'LL know how tuff them hills be.

I got the tank painted chocolate,

I got the inside Kreamed.

I call it my Swiss-Roll,

Cause to me its a treat,

Nah, its not a magnum,

The magnum's under the seat.

Never looking for trouble,

but I'm ready for when trouble finds me.

We can ride, but like French's,

you'll have to Mustard the speed...

you may fall be hind, and like Hienz,

you'll have to Ketchup to me... lol

lol, whatever.

Re: OT Poetry-Limmerick-rap?

I really don't like forms. I mean, they're important and useful, and they take WAY more technical skill that free verse sometimes, but ultimately they've always felt restrictive to me. In that sense, I'll probably always be one of the children of Whitman.

I must admit though, sometimes moped words come out randomly in my shit. This example isn't really my best stuff, but it'll give you some idea.

isobaric chamber by John Wiens

round as riveted plates of diamond steel,

green like tools with thick metal cases and enamel paint,

the feeling of eyes and teeth adjusting,

sudoku puzzles,

strangers don’t bite on planes telling

about traps they’ve comfortably lived in for years.

Don’t exist.

shunt and tryst

glide along on a thin membrane of oil.

go on and try to push that out.

Push

and slip down into the satin slippers, the silky sediment

envelope.

wet backs of frogs float by gently brushing pressing

in a cool mudsuit

the shrapnel blinds,

even without a safety.

bearings have roughly turned inside the ground. now parts,

parts with tolerance,

clearance.

Here in this dense body corporeal
