Minarelli question

Do they make a larger (speed) sprocket for the front on a V1? If so, where would one find such a thing?

What size do you have?

didn't check but it is small and the Tri-ped is geared down too much and the rear cannot be replaced

I'm going to guess that you have the 10 tooth sprocket. You can get 11, 12, and 13. The 13 may be hard to find. I have all of them and I think I got them from Handy Bikes (it's been a while).

Re: Minarelli question

I found a 14 tooth on mopedshop.com but they claim you may need machine the clearances on the case to make it work.

Probably, the 13 damn near touches the case.

Thanks, I will count the teeth tomorrow. I just want to get a few more mph, not totally wreck my pick-up since the thing is a bit heavier than a normal ped. I will go up a max of 2 teeth

Re: Minarelli question

Count the teeth on your existing sprocket. Then go up one tooth at a time.

If you go up too large you will change the bike to a peddle-ped

It is a Tri-ped, geared way down and only topping out at 22..I can go up 2 teeth safely I am sure. I want 27-29 and will add an expansion pipe if I need to

Re: Minarelli question

I would go up one tooth at a time. One tooth equals going down three teeth in the rear. Your bike probably has a nine tooth front. If it has a ten go with an eleven. Twelve tooth front sprockets are about impossible to find.
