Re: sprocket Question

bigger front sprocket, or smaller rear will make your top end better, but remember it effects you take off and hill climbing ability. most people go with the bigger front sprocket.

Re: sprocket Question

You could have done a search to answer this. However...

To get more speed at the expense of acceleration, use a larger sprocket in front or a smaller sprocket in the rear.

To get more acceleration at the expense of speed, use a smaller sprocket in front or a larger sprocket in the rear.

Think about the derailleur on your bicycle. The same logic applies.

thanks

thanks crisis- I think I'll go to an 11 on the front- but it'll have to wait until the carb clean is done before I decide how much accel. I'm willing to give up. ride on-

Re: sprocket Question

1991 TOMOS TT-LX GOLDENBULLET /

Hi,

Am I doing any damage to the engine, specifically the clutch, when I upgrade to the 27 tooth sprocket and go up a hill?

Right now, with my 205 lb frame, I easily do 33 on straight roads and about 17 up hills.

My TOMOS also has a bi-turbo.

Regards
