ot: people

What is it with people? Dude (who shall remain nameless) sells a ped out from under me, while we were in the midst of negotiation & planning for me to come pick it up. In that much of a hurry? Really? I could understand if it were some 80-year-old guy who had a junker sitting in his back yard, and a neighbor kid wanted it reeeeeeeeally badly, but come on - from one MA member to another... and you still pull that shit? At least say something like "alright, but there's someone else who has the first shot at it, so let me get back to you," not "yes, come pick it up at [insert time/date]," followed by "nevermind, sold it."

And it's not an isolated incident, apparently; it seems as though _plenty_ of people behave that way. This is the second time in as many months!

grumble grumble

Re: ot: people

Yeah that happens, and it sucks

The term "MA Member" is not to be used lightly or incorrectly on here. The correct term would be "some anonymous person that figured out how to get online". So if a SAPTFOHTGO is less than honorable in their business dealings...really what a surprise.

Re: ot: people

yea people ask me for parts and i never get around to shipping them.. but at least the ydont send me money . then i would feel like a crook

Re: ot: people

Forum member =/= ma member.

Branch member = ma member.

Not to say that members don't do that,

Because the same thing happened to me when I was on the way to get my first bike.

To cover their asses. Because they can be cowards. It's too difficult for many people to be decent.
