Anybody ever mounted one of these on a maxi? I'm going for a classic / antique looking leathery bike and I would LOVE to have one of these brooks seats on it... does anybody know if they mount the same way to the post? This might be obvious, I just don't know anything about bikes or whatnot.
Let me know if anybody here has done it or if it will work.

Maxi's use a regular bicycle style seat post.
Yeah I know they're pretty pricey, but I think it's worth it for the aesthetic of the bike... going for like a really weird antique two tone with racer details ped. Hope it works out!
after it's broken in ... it's cherry.
seen them on a lot of various peds. always plenty to choose from on ebay and can sometimes snag one for a good deal. seen some repro's on there too. make sure to search store inventory too. no need to spend 200 bucks on one.
Got my seat on ebay....I guess I went for the same 2 tone look you're after with the Brooks saddle.
If you have a French moped, get an Ideale brand leather seat to go with it.
