My custom build

1980 motobecane sebring with a puch e50 engine. tecno estroli exhaust. had to make custom engine mounts and custom exhaust mount. it's a motopuch! bike is in the rat bike stage, more to come soon. just took it out for the first time today. runs pretty good. let the flameing begin!

OK, so you've made a few things and did a little welding. That's more than most guys on here saying they've got a "custom bike". Congrats. Looks good. Now take it to the next level. Let's see some "real" custom work. You can do it!

Re: My custom build

Bruce Edwards /

This is a REAL custom bike.

Re: My custom build

the seat on the sebring and g3 are wayyy too big imo. think its gonna look hot!

Re: My custom build

Jake Shaughnessy /

so are you going to make pedals work, or just some pegs

Re: My custom build

No need to flame here. Nice job on the build.

need you old engine? throw it my way if you dont. nice build btw.

Re: My custom build

Looks good man.

Re: My custom build

no pedals on this turd... sold the old engine already. i've got a 70cc kit and a 19mm dellorto waiting to be put on. i'm thinking i'll go a little more "custom" but we'll see. i'd like to add a disc brake setup too. i was making some new seat foam for it because the stock one was really ratty, but then i'm just like, why don't i just cut the top of the foam off? it'll be nice and soft again and look better (as in lower) too! i also chopped the stock handle bars...

Re: My custom build

got any high res pics of your magnum?

Re: My custom build

why

Re: My custom build

Re: My custom build

Re: My custom build

Re: My custom build

do you have any high res pics of your bike? i want to see how you mounted the engine and pedals. looks good

Re: My custom build

Those bikes are sick, sick sick, the geometry on them is almost flawless, and to have one running the upgradeable e50 is awesome.

Love it.

Re: My custom build

thanks man! and thanks to everyone for your comments. here is a pic of what it looked like when i got it. took about a week from this pic to now...

Re: My custom build

liked it better when ya got it... jk man that peds gonna be SICK what size jet you running in that?

Re: My custom build

Hey fast, i got an extra long swing arm bolt and shaved some bike crank arms and just slid them on to the swing arm bolt just to have a place to put my feet. after about a month of ridding with em i ditched them for some BMX pegs in the same place. its much nicer and looks a bit cleaner. i just bump start it.

O what i've done to it.

Metra 65 port matched

15mm bing 92 jet

Hi flow air filter

Techo Proma (hand to make a bracket as the pipe in on the puch side now)

Puch Magnum EBRs fitted to the Sebring triple tree. (the puch one was to short)

Magnum adjustible rear shocks.

Set o snowflakes

bike kick stand

hand pin stripe (one shot is a bitch to work with)

looking at doing a single swing arm mono shock this winter.

SO glad so see another Sebring Puch mutant.

Re: My custom build

replace a morini with a puch it dont make no sense

Re: My custom build

36.3mph on the flats. gps. stock e50, stock tiny bing, drilled intake, tecno pipe. takes off real good too! i'm pretty happy so far...

Re: My custom build

I have a sebring frame I'm gonna mount a puch engine to, as well. Are the front engine mount tabs stock sebring? I want to use the stock front engine mounts, but it looks like the engine is gonna sit too far forward on mine. It's originally a morini equipped sebring as well.

My custom build

Rode this beast yesterday a little bit, rides out nice. Accelerates pretty good. I am impressed with the work. It will be nice.

Re: My custom build

its way better now salty! drilling out the intake really livened it up all over. accelerates quicker and more top end like almost 10mph more top end! i think the whole intake is holding me back... seems like she still wants to go faster. as for the mounts, they are stockish... they are the perfect width stock but the engine would be in your front wheel. i cut the stock mounts off, cut a chunk out of the middle, then welded back on. bottom mounts are custom. good luck on your build! and thanks for the compliment salty

Moped Game Sally Struthers /

you could get some buck nutty gear ratios with that set up.

buck. nutty.
