Good price for a 76' Motobecane?

A man wants to sell me a 76' yellow Motobecane in "excellent" condition, runs great... what's a good price?

I paid $0 for my 77. Tell him you will give him $500 for it, tops. Go from there.

actually, just see how low you can get him to go, either he decided to sell or not, so just see how low he is willing to go.

I just called him up and he said 300? He wasn't too sure on that, so I'm sure I could get him down to 250 or so...

Rock it.

Yeah, I think I'm about to pay $300 for one that looks in excellent condition on the outside, but doesn't (currently) start easily or go past 22mph, so probably needs a fair bit of cleaning. You should visit him and give it a ride, but $250 is a pretty decent deal if he's right about it being in perfect shape. Good luck!

Thanks Stephan! I'm gonna check it out tonight...

If you need some parts, I have a 78 Pinto on ebay right now...
