yes
Might have better luck in the repair forum.
Yes.
The first time I had a dirty carb.
The second time my spark plug cap crapped out.
The third time was because I forgot to turn the petcock to "on". (This has been repeated multiple times.)
The fourth time I needed to turn my petcock to "reserve." (Has also been repeated multiple times.)
The fifth time I had run out of gas.
The sixth time I had fouled a spark plug.
The seventh time my spark plug cap had come a little bit loose from the wire.
I'm probably missing some, but that's most of them. Read Fred's Guide and ask any other repair-related questions in the repair forum.
In addition to the all of the above, I've had:
-Bad condenser
-Flywheel fell off(however I assume you would notice this)
-Poor wiring
However best bet is a fuel issue!
petcock on? :)
no, mine's an 81 :-) happens on a daily basis. now i just empty the filter. funny thing though, it only runs on reserve, not on the regular on position.
Linda, I have to ask, were the turning it to "on", turning it to "reserve", and running out of gas three consecutive rides? Cause that would be awesome.
Kill switch
this is something that mopeds like to do. its not uncommon.
most of the time its the carb., fuel flow or plug
make sure your fuel is gettin where it needs to go.
check the plug.
funny my maxi is doing the same thing today somtimes it starts and sometimes it doenst and when it does i can maybe run at a idle for like 10 seconds max. doing a plug chop now to see if im running a bad mix or somthing then its off to the wiring and then the fuel
how are you going to do a plug chop if it only runs for like 10 sec.
I think turning it to reserve and then running out of gas were two consecutive rides, but I've forgotten to turn it to "on" so many times that I can't remember specific instances anymore.
can i have it?
