Morons on ebay.

So I use a feedreader for ebay so I don't have to bother checking every day for new items. Just now I realized that there are idiots who list Hobbit parts in ebay under bicycle parts, so they don't come up in ebay motors searches, which is what I use. I mean, who the hell has a throttle cable and lists it under bicycle parts? What bicycles have a throttle? Its called Ebay MOTORS for a reason.

maybe ebay fees are cheaper

Re: Morons on ebay.

um, its really not that crazy of an idea to have moped parts listed under bike parts. not where i list my items for sale, but I include all categories of ebay when conducting my searches for buying something. ya know...mopeds kinda look like bikes with the whole pedal thing. plus there is no moped category under ebay motors...just scooter and motorcycle parts. plus its cheaper to list outside of ebay motors. plus...not everyone knows about mopeds who have a moped to sell, and thus don't put their item in the category best suited for it. plus...you could just change your feed reader to include all categories instead of bitching about people posting listings outside of the categories you have your feed reader set to. plus...you could just do a five minute manual search everyday to see what the new listings are under specific keywords like "moped".

Re: Morons on ebay.

after all, it is part bike, part motor.

Re: Morons on ebay.

at least they aren't trying to make money off of digital photos of tools and tool boxes

Re: Morons on ebay.

i use a ppc program on my smartphone called prssreader to check craigslist every 10 minutes for anything with moped in the title and description. (using an opml wrote by crazedlist)

i limit it to only st louis or i would get way too many messages

i keep thinking there must be something better than CL and Ebay.

Re: Morons on ebay.

luck...luck is better than craigslist and ebay, lol.

Re: Morons on ebay.

so, this i why i can never find what i want anywhere anymore. this is like those ebay sniper programs that used to outbid you by five cents three seconds before an auction ended.

Re: Morons on ebay.

I'm also subscribed to a few of those crazedlist things, for the whole DC, south jersey, maryland and delaware areas, but I don't have a car for picking any of it up, so its just basically out of curiosity for what's out there. I wish I could have checked out that hobbit and express that were up in South Jersey for like $150 a couple of days ago. I'm new to mopeds, but I have no doubt this is a hobby that is going to stick with me.
