I don't want to rain on your parade, but I have them on my magnum, and I am taking them off as soon as I get straight bars. My wrists hurt so bad on a daily basis. I had to stay home from work on Wednesday. You will destroy your wrists man. Do yourself a favor and at least have straight bars. Oh, and I'm 24, not some old fart complaining about his arthritis...

They do look fucking rad though.

Re: cafe bars.

yeah i noticed it yesturday. after a quick ride. if they get unbarible i might switch them out but for now the look fucking tight. i live in ohio and not many people have mopeds. the ones that do have new tomoses or couple year old tomoses ive never seen any puch or mobys around here. when i took my ride yesturday i didnt have one person not stare me down.

Re: cafe bars.

I ride cafe's all day. In my opinion and discomfort is totally worth the increased handling and style.

Re: cafe bars.

It depends how you sit too.

Put race pegs on for a little more comfort,

Or drop your seat

Re: cafe bars.

i have cafes on my moby and its not that uncomfortable at all. just sit way back.

I've got pegs, and it's a magnum so I can't drop the seat. Wrist killer.

cafe bars.

take a look at this pic...I have drag bars and lowered my seat. search for the forum thread "Puch seat mods"

this setup is comfy but sometimes my legs cramp.

Re: cafe bars.

Please clean up your cables after the installation

Re: cafe bars.

when do your new tires come?

Re: cafe bars.

Same story on my Grande, got clubmans and they were not comfortable at all. BUT when I flipped them over they worked great, and I rock them that way now.

Re: cafe bars.

I had the cafe bars that angled down, killed my wrists the first ride, get the flat bars, same look but they don't angle down and make a huge difference...this was a Magnum limited flat bar. Pegs & low seat helps too.

Re: cafe bars.

I bought same bars as you have, after 2 weeks i had to chop them and reweld them at the straight angle, they feel great now.

Re: cafe bars.

hrm ... cafe bars are fine for me.

rode about 15 miles last night without any problems.

Re: cafe bars.

i would fucking kill for that dash

Re: cafe bars.

srsly that dash is sweet.

Re: cafe bars.

where you guys get cafe bars or straight bars?

i would prefer straight bars since 80% say that cafe hurt like hell... id make my own but i want chrome..

thanks

those things are scary as hell. i dont know how yall ride like that. tiny little short sticks coming out of the head, crazy. everytime i ride someones ped with those things i feel like im a bear at the circus. after about 5 mins my wrist are killing me and my hands hurt from gripping it so hard.

put your bars where they belong, IN THE AIR!

Out West Motorcycles .com has them pretty cheap. Under 20 bucks sometimes in the 7/8 dia size.

they seem to have the best price I saw for what I was looking for and shipping was quick.

Re: cafe bars.

Gunther McCilicutty /

If I was going on a long ride I would baybe change my bars back to the ape-hangers...however cafe bars are sweet...I don't have them but went with the flat drag bars with a 2" pullback instead.

Re: cafe bars.

my god, what is that dash and fairing originally from?

that is awesome

Re: cafe bars.

fairings are gay.

straight bars fucked up my wrists

Re: cafe bars.

Look forward to the opportunity to build up serious upper-arm strength, as all your weight will now sit on your arms. Oh yeah, and carpal-tunnel for reelz, unless you're in full tuck 100% of the time.

Also, Fairings rule all, they add MPHs!!

Re: cafe bars.

get on it.

Re: cafe bars.

that dash is from a puch monza and the fairing is from a magnum LTD.
