post pictures, serial number, etc correct me if I'm wrong, but 1960, 1961 is when they came out with the setup, and now 90 million later, still in production,
Anything pre-1960 is rare. Anything pre-1959 is EXTREMELY rare, perhaps even a non-import. Please get a photo.
dude, thats the FIRST year they made them. something tells me it's not a 58, i dont think they were even importing yet...
i don't think that's a 1958 model, afaik the '58 had a pale coloured front mudguard but i suppose it could have been changed.
just spotted it doesn't have a front brake torque arm so definitely not 1958.
the picture is a mirror image there was a torgue arm on the other side on the front wheel i think.....
mine has the same identical blinkers and taillight what other years used those style lights ????and mine was bought in canada new originally if that makes a difference
You can tell the first year by the pale colour front mudguard. The front brake torque arm disappeared soon after, and the tiny rear lamp in '62.
I would venture to guess that Jim and Steve are correct, that this is a 1958. A rich kid friend of mine had one when I was kid and this looks identical. His WAS a 1958. We broke one of the rear directional covers and when his father went to the Honda shop they could only replace it with the directionals that protruded on a short post or tube. The original directionals were oval like, but the new replacements were round.
My bet is it's a 1958!
Wanna sell it? It was the year I was born!!!
im going to pick it up this weekend and ill put up some good pics when i get it home. im thinking of selling. it runs like a top and started on the first kick with no smoke the only parts missing seem to be the two side covers and the rubber on the kick start. the speedo reads 234.8 miles
Is the serial number stamped into the frame or on a brass tag that is riveted to the frame?

STAMPED ON THE FRAME
Ill be putting up some pics this afternoon
Wanna sell it?
Very nice! Cool little bugger, great shape!
If the serial number is stamped on the frame, I think you have a very early 60's C100. 1960- 1962, there are no good sources for year identification using serial numbers. Maybe the title or old paperwork will have a year on it.
