Circlip stuck in my Sachs Cylinder...picture

When I rebuilt my sachs engine it was missing a circlip so I put in a E clip from the hardware store that fit. Well it didn't fit tight enough and managed to f*up the piston and the cylinder.

I'm looking for the cheapest replacement availible. Anyone have anything used? Or know of anything cheap thats new?

And don't use generic hardware store clips unless you are sure that they will not fall out.

So far the cheapest that O can find is a 70cc kit from 50cc.nl. The kit is 130Euros +30E shipping.

Ouch. That was an expensive mistake.

Does anyone have a used cyl and piston? Please

Matt.

That SUCKS!!! I've found a guy on ebay from Germany who's got a tonne of old but unused moped parts. I just got 5 new Batavus piston kits from him for 55Euro's with shipping included. That's close to $30 US LESS than ONE from The Moped Junkyard. I did see some Sachs stuff on his ebay store but it's all in German si I've really got no idea as to what they are if there aren't any pics. Here's the link to his store. Maybe you'll have some luck.

Hey Matt,

Before you ship overseas, check out Handy Bikes. Although their webpage lacks, Bob Jones / Handy Bikes was the US distributor of Sachs parts & bikes. They have everything I've ever needed for a Sachs, and their prices are below the competitors. Ask for Bob Jones; he's a ~60 year old moped genius. www.handybikes.com.

Matt,

He does speak English although it is a bit halting. Can't complain though 'cause I speak NO German. HE seems quite nice. He apparently has 200 -250 of the Batavus piton kits so I'm sured he's got some source for old parts. I'd be amazed if he didn't come across what you need at some point.

Excuse me????

I'm certain that you can find more than a handfull of Germans who do NOT speak English. In Germany or not.

Thanks for not getting personal.
