No integrity what so ever!

We'll people here it is the official response from Mr. Mccann about me getting my Bill of sale. Obliviously integrity ends at $10.00 for a fax. He neglects the fact I offered to meet him which would have cost me in gas and him 5 mins of time.

I really don't care anymore! I just wanted him to do what he said he'll do, which he didn't and never intended to do.

Like I said before good thing there is karma.

Now are you pissed Mr. Mccann?

Mr. Mccan in response to my post:

yo

first off, no one is really going to care, i know most of the people in the chicago scene but thanks for trying to pull that. I sent you an email saying that it would cost me 10 bucks to fax your BOS to you becuase its so retardedly long. Your best bet is to say you bought it in Indiana were they don't require titles or bill of sale for anything under 50cc. Than you will go through a process of paper work and something like 200 dollars later you will get your title.

Do it at the main cook county dmv down town they have had enough of us in there to figure it out.

But yeah maybe you never got that email iono. I'm not going to drop 10 bucks on faxing something that can and is usually forged by people. I didn't get a title so there fore a bill of sale from me means nothing, if its been in IL its whole life some one had a title on it and it wont be my name, highly unlikely though. Have a friend write a bill of sale and sign it than show them. Either way don't really care.

Just try to keep the mud slinging down its not like i was a douche and didn't help you down the stairs with it and spend 30 mins putting it into your car. But thanks for being mature :).

Oh yeah and saying i have down syndrome very funny. Or what ever that lame burn was.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

i dont get why you wouldnt just forge it. the DMV isnt going to know that.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

yeah, i forged mine too.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Just fake it.

It's not really a big deal.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Goes back to integrity. Also following the law! I'm married to a attorney which is now asking me if she should take action against him in small claims court. So it's about begin ethical as well.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

This guy makes me think it is stolen and when this hit the fan he does not want to get dirty from it. He is wanting his hands clean from the transaction.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

its just a moped title if you dont want the signature to look the same as yours have any one you know sign it .... its just like a moped keep it simple stupid...KISS

Re: No integrity what so ever!

I would take him to court if it is not going to cost you. If this comes up stolen, all of it is going to fall back on you.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

I did all correspondence through email so everything is in writing. Which really helps out. I'm going include all the e-mail along with request for the title so if something does happen he in included at least on paper.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

exactly

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It's not fucking stolen. It just doesn't have a title because it's a moped. Everyone forges bills of sale to get them back on the books. It's not exactly a legal document. I've written out bills of sale at the secretary of state wight at the window. No one cares, except you apparently.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

I care too!

What's a bill of sale? Can you eat that?

Re: No integrity what so ever!

▣ß@ηℊℙℐṔ∃▣ ™ /

take him to court are you bored? or just one of those people that like to take mcdonalds to court cause they made your kid fat. its just a bill of sale EVERYONE forges them

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Rob i used to be like you and care about bills of sale.

Can i assume you are a first time moped buyer?

If so take the advice that is given, forge one.

Secondly if you are really worried, call the DMV get them to run the VIN to see if it is stolen. Besides you should have gotten the VIN before hand and checked it if you were really worried.

I check mine all before hand to make sure.

I find that mopeds fall into a grey catagory were the rules of other vehicles don't apply. The whole bill of sale and title is one segment, where it is pretty easy to come up with one but not through the usual methods that people who drive cars would think of.

Just to let you know, the first moped i got i was as worried as you were and i spent a month tracking down the original owner (this ped had changed hands 4-5 times since then). All i should have done was forged a bill of sale and the that would have been the end of it. (but it was pretty cool tracking down the guy that owned the ped origally as a kid... he was a dentist now).

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Thanks for the advice.

But i'm not a first time buyer. First time in the state of Illinois yes. I was on a moped when most guys in the forum were in diapers.

If this was 10 years ago maybe I would forge it but it's not. I have to much you lose. Plus, I'm getting my legal advice from my ethical attorney.

I do everything legal and by the book. Plus, If I say I'll do something you can bet it will get done.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

I did run the vin and it's clean in this state.

I have the money to spend on a bonding process to get the title. Which I'm probably going to do. It will be by the book which will have the state hold $1000.00 of my money. A drop in the bucket!

It's about him doing what he said and make the deal 100% honest.

Which honesty doesn't exist on amongst the Mopedarmy forum, obliviously.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

taking someone to small claims court for a bill of sale is way over the top. this fucking country has become so sue happy these days. i mean come in, whatever happened to talking things out? the response that he sent you isnt mean or condescending, if it were me, my response would have been a hell of a lot wordier. if you can drive to him and get the bill of sale, than do it. if not, write it up yourself, forge his signature and call it a day.

but i swear to god, if you take him to small claims court for a fucking bill of sale, i will make it my goal to have everyone make fun of you until the day you die. you sue for custody, you sue if someones insurance refuses to pay out, you dont sue for something that is free. why spend 2000 in court costs just to have a judge laugh at you?

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Feel free!!

Actually it's not free it was part of a purchase.

Actually he'll pay the court cost if he looses.

Judge will not laugh trust me. He will be pissed because of the waste of his time but it won't be at me. Easy judgment!

Re: No integrity what so ever!

I agree with you in the sense that you expect to be treated fairly. But having collected many a bike in the past two years it is difficult to get everything together when the bikes old.

I have a 1972 Yamaha U7E that i bought with from a guy, who obtained it as a trade from the original owner. I have the original ownership (1973) but the original owner is dead. So i have a couple of options available and one of them isn't getting a bill of sale from the dead owner.

I judge each bike differently. ONE i bought last year, was from a different juridiction so i registered it here as being "new". It is easier then transferring it and cheaper.

Also when i sell bikes i do it carefully, and judge the person i'm selling it too. I had a honda scrammbler i was going to sell, but the guy wasn't planning on registering it to his name so i said no (and he was going to let his 14 year old daughter trail ride it -imagine a 30 year old immaculate bike being used off road -urgh. so i kept it :)

a drop in the bucket? i dont think anyone on this forum cares to hear you brag about your lawyer wife and you tons of money. oh and you probably should'nt say were not honest some people may take that as you talking shit...........OBVIOUSLY your just a tool and a cry baby

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Oh if anyone has a honda MB5 in the Ottawa area for sale, i want it.

To make my point about the "grey" area, I would register a MB5 as a moped (even though techinacally it is a motorcycle). Saves on a safety when the only difference is the lack of pedals ;)

Re: No integrity what so ever!

put your money in your mattress it seems to be the best bet

Re: No integrity what so ever!

Rob,

just because you have chosen to live a life of "100% honesty" and have chosen to follow every rule out there doesnt mean the rest of us has to whenever we encounter you. You are handicapping yourself for your own personal moral and ethical reasons. Dont be a mormon, just because you have to wear full body underwear and cant watch MTV doesnt mean we have to and cant.

Also, being a douche bag to people on a righteous crusade isnt going to make people change their ways. if anything its going to make them want to blow you off. Tone it down a notch. If you would have handled the sale differently awesome, way to go for you. but you werent selling the bike. You bought it, without a bill of sale. That was YOUR DECISION. its just like the other thread about the 20$.

I am not saying its ok to scam someone out of 20 bucks or not write you a bill of sale. I am saying its your fault for not receiving what you needed at the point of sale.

P.S. Unless you are trying to get brownie points with your god by personally enforcing the american justice system i wouldnt take this guy to court. that is just about the biggest douche bag move on the planet. dont be a baby. maybe if you didnt threaten the guy and tell him he had down syndrome and were a little more patient you wouldnt be in this mess anyway.

Re: No integrity what so ever!

WHAMMY!

Re: No integrity what so ever!

That's funny I'm not religious!

Anyway, the fact is that I forgot to get the bill of sale and I contacted the seller. He said he'll get it to me which he never did..

Going back to people not following their word.

You and your ways I hope will land you in jail sometime!

Amen brother!

Re: No integrity what so ever!

P.S I've patient for 2 months now. Now it's time to have some fun!

Re: No integrity what so ever!
