1980 Honda PA50-II - $100 from a guy on Craigslist who couldn't get it to start

- Lightbulbs are all burnt out.

$10 on Lightbulbs

- There's no Throttle and the Brake Cables are Rusted-Stuck

$10 on a Temporary Throttle Fix (Hooked up bike Cable to Brake Lever)

$35 on a complete Handlebar Assembly (with all Cables needed)

$20 on Carb Cleaner (many cans)

$20 on used Speedo Cable

- Stripped the Spark Plug Threads

$15 on used Cylinder Head

- Snapped the Crankshaft

$35 on a used Crankshaft from a guy on here

- Cylinder all kinds of fucked up

$220 on an Athena 70cc Aluminum Cylinder Kit

Total $365 vs the $100 I paid for it.

365, u made out ok. $125 on a free spirit, 100 on a kit, 35 on a hi comp head, 90 on a carb, 80 on a exhaust and 150 on another one since i changed my mind, 30 on a intake, idk i think it was 40 for a kstar clutch, drop bars, tires for that bike. Then i almost spent what you did just on a maxi N frame

$50 - Malossi 4 petal intake

$50 - Boyesen reeds

$40 - Driving lights from Autozone

$10 - Exhaust gaskets, exhaust mounting hardware

Still going to be some more $$ to get a proper intake made to work with that carb and the Malossi reedblock, plus a 31T front sprocket, and possibly a 20T rear sprocket if I can get enough torque with the new carb.

Not sure yet, I need to get an intake made so I can put that carb onto the Malossi quad reed block. The intake that comes with it points straight up into the frame, with 0 clearance to attach anything to it. Need to fabricate a top plate with a hole in it at an angle and bend some copper tubing to bring the carb around to the right side of the frame.

I'm hoping to see max 60mph. It already does 50mph @ 9630rpm with a 16mm SHA and 26/24 gearing.

engine totally siezed/trashed - replace with minarelli v1 (i forget what i spent for that engine i think 60 bucks)

V1 needs stuff (various screws (still need more harware yet), fan $5.00, cover $15.00, clutch cover $20.00, starter clutch springs $2.00, other stuff from handybikes $20.00, etc.)

minarelli cdi set-up - $97.00

minarelli 12v lighting coil - $30.00

new tires/tubes - $40.00

dupont sandstone colored high pearl paint - $80.00 (quart)

dupont rootbeer colored pearl paint (self-mixed custom color) $70.00 (pint)

polyurethane spray (for sealing after staining the wood) - $6.00

the look on my face, as i realize too often that i'm outta cash for food - priceless

but it's gonna be the sweetest stock v1 ped around.

Paid $30 for my 1977 Gloria Intramotor Blanco with a Minarelli V1 with no cylinder or piston,just a crank laying out helplessly.

Got a 14.12 SHA carburetor from my best friend from his old Targa LX for free.

Got a Puch Magnum intake and studs for free from a friend who sold my best friend the Blanco and Targa.

Bought a NOS cylinder and piston kit from Handybikes for $80. Cylinder head is too small so I'm sending that back tomorrow for a working one.

Need to buy a throttle cable and a brake cable for about $9 a piece.

Need to buy a main jet for about $3.

Need to buy a used exhaust for I don't know how much...

Want a new set of Gazelles for about $45.

Need a gasket kit for about $12.

Need a plug and some random oils, I'll guess that's about $12.

Need cylinder studs for about $10...

Thank god I'm ordering all this stuff tomorrow. Thank you birthday money! After all those parts I'll have about $50 for a used exhaust.

I'm probably at a total cost of $1600 now on my moby from start to present.

Dont kit mobys if you do not want to resort to dumpster diving for food.

1/2 gal of unleaded - $2.30

Put the damn tire back on the rim - free

Got the poor thing running after 10+ years for $34.30

Another $100 to make it somewhat safe - tires, tubes, mirrors, fender, etc.
