OMFG SACH HELP!!!!

- Summerai - GB Dick Lucas Flegel /

Alright so my friend and I got my 1980 sachs seville running a few days ago after a new carb was put in. It was running like a champ for two whole days. now today im riding home and the fucking throttle cabel decides the say "fuck you" to me and snaps.....

SOOOO my real question to you is where can I get new one? Im guessing that they are all pretty generic.

Any help would be awesome!!

Re: OMFG SACH HELP!!!!

I have a new throttle cable and choke cable and the levers to go with it still in the bag.

Re: OMFG SACH HELP!!!!

You might be able to make one out of a rear derailur cable. Use the cover of the throttle cable if it is still good. Remove the old cable and see the way the end looks on the end where goes into the carburator. Grind the end if needed to look like that end. If you do not have a grinder, go spend the $10 you will have spent on the cable and shipping, at a pawn shop for the cheapest bench grinder. Also if this is a 2 ended cable you can tie a knot in the end of the cable or you can go to a motorcycle and/or bicycle shop and buy a cable end with a screw at the end that you can tighten to the end of the cable. If that cable goes bad , you can remove that cable from the screw on cable end and reuse the screw on cable end. Who wants to wait 2 weeks for a cable.

Dick does! Just kidding, we probably would have failed miserably at that Patrick. But Moped Junkyard is always fast anyway. (if not cheap) Thanks for the suggestions guys.

No way on the bikey cable. You want the super flex braided wire to bend thru the carb elbow. I get these all day long & what makes the throttle cable the throttle cable is the 5mm pinch bolt at the grip end
