hows does the hot weather affect your performance? ive always seen a big loss in power during the day time with the hot air, and with the cool evening air im back to full power. ive always wondered if my engine had issues.

Ditto with my Puch, not my Moby. Of course I blew up my Puch engine and turned my piston into an ashtray, so I don't have that problem anymore.
I"ve heard this from a few other people... heat/humidity definatly play a part..
your telling me one day I'm cruzing along great then it startes raining and it is slow as hell.
I'm at sea level by the way.
It has to do with air density and the air/fuel mixture. When the air is colder (night time) it’s dryer and more dense, and when it’s warmer (day time) it is less dense and can hold more moisture.
So during the day your mixture will become slightly richer, or vice-a-versa, at night the mixture will get leaner; and everybody knows "leaner is meaner".
You could counter act this by tuning for the time of day you ride most, lets say day time, so if your running good at night now, try down jetting one size for day time riding, and at night cover 1/2 of your air filter to richen the mix to compensate for the cooler air. Or if you ride at night, tune with
I have actually better performance when the air is warm. I jetted for it. Both two stroke bikes. Scooter and Ciao
you a mutha fucka! hey i just ordered a polini kit for my puch. should be here on friday. and i do bog down in the middle of the day. i guess the air density thing does make sense
