Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

ok Here break>

bummer... but that video is me hitting 43 mph, its hard to see, but i ran the trap few times, and couldint get it to go above 43, and its pretty tough on a small black moped.

yargh... top speed.~SABAT!

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

Lil MotoGuzzi Vert /

You should really do this in the daytime... would make for a better video.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

So is your engine kitted? I get 43 mph (verified by Garmin GPS) out of my '08 Sprint with just a Biturbo, foam uni-filter, rejetted carb, and 22 tooth rear sprocket. I'm getting about 48 out of a 70cc kitted '01 Targa, with a 15.15 carb, Tecno Estoril, and 27 tooth front sprocket. Time to stop, the GWB money ran out. Peace, Jerry.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

Tomos > all

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

tomos toeasy

can't wait to start my tomos build up project... oh i can smell 70mph

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

Screw that. Take a sprint, slap a performance exhaust on, upjet, add a couple of wet shots of nitrous, you'll do 90, easy.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

my tomos is kitted with a technigas, uni pod filter

stock intake and carb(14mm), and stock CDI, the cdi is rev limited and i havent found a easy solution around it yet.

my moped went 45ish before it was kitted, all the kit did was add some power, nothing to the top end, dessperatly need this break>

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

i have also been eyeballing that Steven.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

Eh? I hear they'll do 60 with all that if you use the oil injection and add a special toilet seat ;)

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

I think raising the engine rpm isn't the way to go. Use the extra power to raise the gearing. Most engines are using rev limiters these days. I don't know if my '01 Targa has one or not, I'm sure my '08 Sprint does, and so does my '06 Honda Met. I've run into it going downhill. It kills the ignition above a certain rpm. Peace, Jerry.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

I think the '01 is a little rich, I'm going to run it that way a while longer, and drop down one more jet size. When I get more money, I'm definitely going to customize it, but no toilet seat and no oil injection. I've already removed the side panels, the fairing, headlight, dash, horn, handlebar switches and associated wiring, front fender, chain guard, and Dremeled off the chain guard mounts on the swing arm, luggage rack, and the flywheel cover. This one is definitely not a touring bike. Peace, Jerry,

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

i saw 38 mph right after it said 43 so was the 43 for the car infront of you or what ??

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

The stator plate on those have a notch on them. You can adjust the timing by adjusting the position of that notch.

A biturbo might give you a mile on topend.

You can go to a smaller rear sproket also.

That one probably already has a 22, so you can do a 20 without too much work. I'm thinking of going to a 2. They call it a stick sproket, VERY fast.

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH

i was by myself at 2-3 am, i ran it a couple times, i dont know why it was so finicky, i might add i got pulled over in the center in town for going 41 in a 25. i told him "my speedo doesent even go up that high."

Re: Radar Trap, 43 MPH
