OT: an army of one

i just want to ride with people. no one here wants to actually ride. i have helped them find peds, driven hundreds of miles to get them peds, fixed/shown them how to fix peds, in some cases given them peds for fucking free, and still nothing.

fuck. i have also typed this three times. i hate the internet, and people that are stingy with the swarming.

Re: OT: an army of one

i had the same problem in new mexico. now my friend there is dealing with the same issue not much you can do. it sucks, i know.

I got the same deal here in Central IL. TONS of scoots on campus, no peds.

Temporarily "borrow" all the mopeds back, when they finally realize how awesome they are just to drive around town on, make them re-appear again. Then maybe they'll be up for some fun rides ;P. Otherwise, just hoard them to yourself.

Re: OT: an army of one

my town = zero ped owners, other than me.

I own a ped, noped, and minitrail, and my friend and I ride the ped/noped combo and thats all. I've tried getting more people interested, but to no avail. Perhaps more this fall.

Im out in the NW chicago burbs, where the suv is king, and the minivan is queen. a swarm of 30mph peds is the last thing this town wants to see on 40mph+ roads.

Theres some sweet back country roads that would make for an exellent rally though, but they;re all 40+ and people speed down them. that would end terribly for a pack of peds.

Re: OT: an army of one

see, thats the frustrating part! there are people here with peds. i do like the idea of temporarily "borrowing" them. the other idea i had was to sneak around in the middle of the night and break everything that i have fixed for them. then when they come to me for help, i'll make them sign a contract of some sort that says that they will ride with me at least once a week, otherwise, no fixy fixy.

yea i used to live in the chicago burbs before i went to school. no peds anywhere. you have to go into the city. where i lived was not good riding anyway. 40mph+ speed limit busy roads to get anywhere.

Re: OT: an army of one

they don't want to ride? then what are they doing with their peds?

Re: OT: an army of one

I'm in the same boat.

Maybe this will help....

I've seen only two peds in three years. We have about a million people around here, half of them are on scooters, the other half are on meth.

Oooooo, sneaky. I like, I like.

Re: OT: an army of one

they ride their peds to and from work. and in some cases around the block once a week.

there is one guy who loves to ride, but he will always just go blasting through neighborhoods by himself and then call me and say, i just had the coolest ride!!

that doesnt help. you have to call first buddy.
