I think it'd a great idea but I would like to suggest a different destination... I grew up on the South Shore and the road to Nantasket is the worst with too much traffic,lights,and worst of all the nastiest cops anywhere!

How about heading north towards Nahant to Revere beach and take the coastal road up through Salem, Beverly... Marblehead, Manchester by the Sea... to Gloucester or Rockport....

Ive done this many times and know the way.... and we go right by Andrew's house and he could possibly meet up with us and come along.

We can return through Essex and stop at Woodmans for fried clams and a beer and come back through Hamilton..... through Horse country past the Myopia Hunt Club...

All these roads are beautiful and free of traffic...

cape ann is my favorite part of massachusetts. i vote north as well. i believe my new moby to be more than reliable enough, but will continue to ride it between now and then in order to make sure. it still has the original condenser on it - it hasnt given me any problems, but maybe i'll pick one up to carry along just in case.

Well I'm definitely down. If i'm 100% confident that I wont break down maybe I'll ride doubles with the gf. I weigh 145, shes 105 so that shouldn't be too much of a problem right?

I guess the real problem is convincing her to take a long ride with a bunch of crazy moped people.

i think im going to the harry smith gathering in western mass on the weekend of the 13th, and the boston scooter rally is on the 18th/19th (mopeds can participate). id rather go on this ride then the scooter rally, but i dont know that i can miss the harry smith thing.

the north shore ride is aweseome.

I'd suggest next week to be Lincoln in the daylight (Daniel, you'd have to lead this cause I'm a little lost in the back roads!) and then mass ave home, since that's a straight shot to beat the sunset!

Fixie sounds like a very good idea, so we can all get together and bond over broken parts and gasoline.

Actually, if it's in two weeks, I might not be able to make it - I'm slated for surgery at the end of next week, so the following week may still be a mess for me!

i dont mind hosting a fixit as long as we put newspaper under our gas leaks and oil. we dont even have to push back the time we can just makethe ride twice! this isnt a rally or anything just us going for aride and everyone is welcome.
