How many people wear goggles while they drive? If so, what kind do you wear??
Sometimes I fantasize about having the old-timey pilot helmet with those metal goggles and a scarf like the Red Baron, riding around town and causin' all kinds of trouble.
I have thought of this too. There are those cheap moped goggles on ebay that look cool. And i have thought about wearing ski goggles or swiming goggles.
Or maybe a good pain of sunglasses?
Goggles really tend to block your perifrial vision, but also tend to make you look awesome.
I have some of the cheap ones on ebay. They are pretty ok.

I do they are made by Emporio Armani. I wear them most the time unless I put on my contact lenses.
im usually traveling at 40 so i need to ware glasses. i went for some time without anything but after dust and grit and bugs stuck me around the face enough i decided i needed protection. i found some clear safety glasses lying around and use those, clear plastic all around.
Full face helmets FTW!

i re purposed my skydiving goggles for my ped. i left them at home yesterday and unfortunately when i went to leave where i was it was pouring down rain. it's extremely hard to keep your eyes open when riding at 40 with the rain hitting you in the eyes. lesson learned. i'll never leave my goggles at home ever again.
i have a leather aviator's "snoopy" cap that i wear sometimes, and i bought red baron goggles to match. i was disappointed to find out they do _not_ fit over glasses. bummer. glasses do help a little bit, but not enough.
i bought some at a motorcycle shop, they fit over my rx glasses....its 110% better to ride with them, no more squinting at 30+mph!
