About a month ago, I picked up >1980 PA 50 II with a custom paint job. Everything has been painted and pinstriped from the shocks to the handlebars. The paint job appears to be almost as old as the moped.
Whoever did the custom paint removed the identification plate and the vin # along with it, even filling the rivet holes.
In order to register this mofo, I need to get a plate from any old PA 50 II. Anybody have one from an old frame they can spare?
The Vin Number should also be etched underneath the Seat on the Frame on the Right hand side, it is etched in so you can sand down any paint job and get to it.
i've been parting out a PA50II, i'll check and see if the VIN plate is legible. GA doesn't require registration so if it's clear i'll send it.

I'm definitely interested.
The vin # stamped on the frame is barely even noticeable under the smooth painted finish and I can't make out any of the numbers. If you didn't know to look there, there's no way to know there was even a number stamped there. Without removing the paint or using some awesome CSI tv technology, I can't get at the stamped number.
