What purpose does the tube serve that is marked with an arrow on the Gurtner carb pic (see attached .jpg)? This is the only Gurtner carb that I have that has this tube. It points directly towards the intake hole. Can I remove it?
This carb was causing the idle to surge on my '94 Tomos and I can't figure out why. I replaced the carb with a new one and my Tomos idles fine now. Any thoughts?? The carb had been soaked in carb cleaner and completely blown out, so it is spotless.
