Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

Ok, so im getting an orange moby, and i don't particularly like orange. That being said i am either going to go basic gloss black or that chromatic paint that changes depending on what angle you see it from (blue, green-gold, purple). Thoughts on which I should go with? (I AM going to change it so please leave off about original paint blah blah blah...)

Re: Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

i say flat black...

that chromatic stuff would make you look like a cholo with a lowrider lol

toe fur threadkiller /

orange mobylettes are sacred.

desecrate them and the god of french will rain down fury from his variated fist of belt-driven justice.

also, chromatic paint is a bad idea.

Re: Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

If you're looking for black or chameleon, why not compromise. Duplicolor makes a black paint called Effex. It is black, but when the sun hit it, it has a chameleon flake in it. It's like 10 bucks a can. I used it on my LX.

Re: Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

Cholo? I haven't heard that word in over 20 years, and I live right in the middle of thousands of them. But that's not what they call themselves anymore. And I also haven't seen a real lowrider (car) in a long time either. Now the thing is putting those little skateboard wheels on front wheel drive cars, the ones that stick about a foot out past the fenders. Peace. Jerry.

Re: Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

what if it had black and white lightning cris-crossing it randomly?

Re: Hmmmm...Colour decision for mobylette....???

The classiest looking Moby I've ever seen was light blue. Not metallic or anything, just like, powder blue, about the same color my '72 VW bug was. I'm probably going to paint my Puch that color. I want to LIGHTEN it up a bit. That brown rust looking color it is now just doesn't do it for me. Peace. Jerry.

INDEED!!

Deftly side steps the variated fist of belt-driven justice for he is a rational man and using his powers of reason discounts the god as superstitious hog-wash and the god disappears in a puff of logic. Yea, upon consideration, chromatic may not be the best way to go. This effex stuff sounds interesting though....
