buyer pay first then seller send.....

is this not the way things work ? dude wanted to buy somthing from me ,i said kool beans $45 for a frame shipped,i though was a fair deal.

dude sends me a email a week or two later "wheres my frame?" i reply sorry i didnt get the money yet, when did you send it?.

he replys "I thought "kool beans" meant you understood,

I said I will send a postal money order asap AFTER I have received the merchandise. Only a dummy would send money to someone they have never met for merchandise they have never seen. I'm sorry but I'm no dummy ."

wow

I don't even get what you said, in the 1st part it sounds like hebought something, then the 2nd part sounds like you bought something.

You always suppose to send money & then after they received it they send the merchandise.

Can we have a lengthy discussion on the true meaning of "kool beans"?

Re: buyer pay first then seller send.....

I think that when it comes to financial interactions people understand what they CHOSE to understand.

In my opinion, I pay in advance for what I wish to receive, and I know that it is possible that I may be dealing with a scammer, but I CHOSE to have basic trust, and I don't purchase more than I could afford to be scammed for in the event it could occur. I think untrusting people are one of two things, either people that have been overscammed or people who would scam others themselves. Coco was very trustworthy with dealings I had with him, and I sent first as the buyer. Then after several purchases, he sent first before getting the money.

I agree with Coco all the way...

Re: buyer pay first then seller send.....

Yeah, Coco I put up with the same shit a few mouths ago. this guy wanted a pipe i had, so he sends me a money order in the mail. Like two day after he said he sent it he was e-mailing me asking were his pipe was, and i didn't even have the money order yet.

Re: buyer pay first then seller send.....

I personally don't like it when someone selling something _needs_ to talk to you on the phone to make sure you're legit.

Chill, people, if you don't get your money, then just don't send me anything.

Once, I remember emailing someone from the Buy/Sell forum, but he said that he had already sold his part. "Still," he says, "one of my friends is parting out the same bike."

I emailed the friend, sent across paypal, and got huge boxes of delicious parts in the mail (yes, I'm a monster, and I eat them).

The money coming across first is what makes you trust a buyer, not how they contact you. If you're internet-paranoid, use eBay - that's why it's gotten so bloated and expensive.
