i think i just threw up a lil in my mouth.
if you want to do a good job take the bike apart.
there is good info in the wiki on painting. you can make a diy job look really great, even spray paint, if you really take your time and do good prep work.
Yah, you do wana take the whole bike apart. Or, if you don't, you'll want to after!
Unless you're cool with the rat look.
And I think the creatures did a pink ped.. or the landsquids.. I know I've seen a picture of a pink Puch Maxi. There's also a pink Peugeot 103 in the custom photos section.
It's really not that hard to take it all apart. I find dropping the engine is easier if you drain everything and flip the bike upside down, then you can pop off all the parts without asisstance.
Just take pictures, or remember where things go, it's all pretty basic on the pinto.
Plastic bags and lables are good if your memory isn't.
Don't do it!!!
If she wants a pink moped I've got a maxi frame and fork I'll paint pink and trade you for the Pinto frame, all the parts will transfer over.
If you are going ruin it and paint it, please take it apart and do it right. 90% of how the bike will turn out is in your prep work; strip it down, sand it, clean it, prime it, paint it, polish it.
Attached is a pic of pink pinto, puke on wheels IMO.
Sorry High fallutent
After seeing a pink Pinto .I did threw up a lil in my mouth.
thats a nasty pink though...im talkin hot pink
The right pink can work , but finding it is the trick
wow that person knows nothing about paint!.....i think i can do it without taking it apart....use lots of tape thats the trick....im a pro painter...i hope
painted by the light of Jack Daniels. Friend don't let friends paint when they're drunk :)
You dont need to take it COMPLETELY apart but some helps, then prep like whoa.

yea, I'm showing off, what's it to ya? I needed a boost today. (ok, no I didn't, I'm just a show off)
I'm all for getting the wife into mopeds. But if it's that nice pinto in your profile pic, then please, please don't ruin it by painting it.
If you weren't so far away, I'd offer to trade it (plus cash) for my rat pinto frame. Perfectly good, and the paint job has already been ruined by a previous owner and a can of black spray paint.
Powder coat it.
I have a bad habit of spray painting everything, and it never turns out as good as I think it will, but I'm a little lazy with prep work. Whatever you do, DON'T PAINT THE CHROME ON THE TANK!!! That's what gives the Pinto its pizazz!
And yes, that pink pinto above is putrid.
A guy at the truckstop told me, "PAINTING ANY BIKE PINK IS A SURE TICKET TO HELL SON"
Thats what he said anyway
