'cause i am.
viva Polska!
since england isn't in it i've decided to pull for spain. el nino and villa up front are pretty ridiculous. the dutch team looked fantastic and have the best kits by far. i think i've watched every game thus far.
spain had an amazing match yesterday. they'll do well for sure.
i'm gutted england aren't in it.
pretty into the germans this time around.
isn't it great that the top two german strikers are polish?
yeah, and mario gomez is half Spanish and Jens Lehmann is 100% batshit crazy. who knew germany was so exotic?
Lindsay, you're in Toronto? I hear the Toronto F.C. fans are really bringing some much needed hooliganism to MLS. Keep it up, the MLS needs some excitement.
no doubt, theres no way we're gonna get soccer popular in america without some brawls and riots.
I'm impressed by the spanish and dutch. Portugal's doing well but cristiano ronaldo gets on my nerves sometimes.
ugh, ronaldo. i would like to introduce his face to a lead pipe. when he pulled that stutter-step bullshit in the champions' league final and got stuffed by cech i almost cried with joy. shame anelka had to blow it and let manure get the double.
Toronto FC games are amazing. I was at the 1st ever one and it was incredible. We lost but I'm pretty sure we have the rowdiest fans in North America hahaha... I grew up in the UK so I'm really happy to have an MLS team.
The only thing that sucks is that it's hard to get tickets. And I live right by BMO Field so it sucks when I can't go to the game but I can hear it from my back yard!
nice! i had no idea toronto had some hooliganism going on. that gives me _some_ hope for the mls. i'll have to try and make it to a game up there.
yeah it's wicked. probably because nobody that lives here is actually from here, the crowd is all homesick english, portuguese and italian people hahaha....
"Some people think soccer is a matter of life and death. I can assure you, it's much more serious than that." Bill Shankly- FC Liverpool
who's your fa team (didn't want to be presumptuous and say prem?)
the swiss game today was devastating, i was pulling for them the whole time.
when i was a kid i lived near old trafford and my dad used to take me to manchester united games all the time. sometimes we'd go see everton too, but manchester united are always so much better.
bill shankly, the greastest. you an LFC fan?
viva POLSKA! haha, to pokazuje ze Polska ma najwiekszych kibicow!
he likes tranny whores.
ManUre? gross. LFC all the way. it's emblazoned on my arm, even if we have stupid, broke, american owners who are trying their best to run the club into the ground.
Howard Webb you bastard!
Poland's prime minister a day after:
'As the prime minister I have to be balanced and collected,' keen soccer fan Donald Tusk told reporters. 'But last night I was speaking very differently about the whole thing, I wanted to kill.'
haha. yeah, i wanted poland to win, but the dutch continue to look ridiculous. i still think it'll be spain or holland winning it all.
A couple of weeks back I bought a Motobecane Mobylette 50V for me and a Peugeot 103 for my wife. I had not ridden a moped since I was 16, and that was an awfully long time ago when I was a 16 y/o in England and used one to get to work (a Garelli).
Found this site and then found this thread. Yay! I exclaimed to the missus...people that like mopeds AND footieball.
Must confess I am finding my enthusiasm for this tournament somewhat lacking for partisan reasons... It's pathetic, shameful and galling that England lacked the intestinal fortitude, will and skill to qualify, and for me that's why it's so hard to watch. I'll get a little more into it later into the competition.
Live in LA and am a fairly regular attendee at the LA Galaxy matches...I stand with LA Riot Squad... much mayhem and inebriation usually ensue. www.lariotsquad.net
I'll be going on my first rally in a few weeks. Myron's Ride 62 July 6th. 56 miles along Pacific Coast Hwy...Can't wait.
Cheers all.
turns out that mopeds and footy are the two coolest things ever, so we're living the life. welcome to the community!
i was definitely disappointed that england missed the tourney, but the level of soccer that's been played thus far (with the exception of those diving, whining italians) has been very good. i'm actually going to get quite drunk in a bit while watching spain/sweden. should be a fun one.
how is it that sergio ramos is not on liverpool yet??? with him and gareth barry its a certainty that liverpool would put up a strong fight for the top spot in england. on top of that every time torres gets the ball my heart is in my throat. dear god please dont pull a babel.
hahahahaha greece is out
I am rooting for the Orange steamrollers precision soccer to the max...
