I don't know what this Puch is...

I just bought a `77 Puch, but I have no clue what it is. It has the E50 motor, but it doesn't say anywhere what model it is. Two things that make it different from other Maxi's and Newports I've seen:

the rear fender is separate from the frame, and it has a 1,5 hp sticker on the side. is this a sport model?

Pic! Pic!

Re: I don't know what this Puch is...

Thats the Maxi N model, they were sold as an economy model and have no speedometer or rear suspension. They are less common than your typical maxi and are considered desirable by many moped enthusiasts.

Re: I don't know what this Puch is...

paints not real bad, needs some work, but after new cables and wires, new chains and a good washing, she'll be NIIIICE.

Re: PICS PICS PICS PICS

That is one nice looking puch. It looks remarkably like mine.

Re: I don't know what this Puch is...

Story of the purchase:

I got the name of the kid from a guy I just bought a ktm foxi from last month. He hadn't been able to get it running and just wanted to get rid of it. He bought it from a guy from somewhere in south america or europe (he didn't know where from, he just knew "[southern country accent] He wa'nt frum wround herrr").

SO, this little N isn't a U.S. model.

Re: I don't know what this Puch is...

sry guys not for sale. you shoulda told me it was a turd in the very beginning!

Re: I don't know what this Puch is...

I don't really get this, why would a hardtail be more desirable than something with rear shocks? I mean just because its rare? I was under the impression that hardtails kinda sucked in terms of handling and you could lose rear traction easily.

Tommy: I love that there is an SVX as the background in that picture. Makes sense that people who like an obscure but awesome vehicles like mopeds like obscure but awesome cars too. I had an SVX for a few months until I found out it needed about another $5000 in repairs and I'd already sunk $2500 in repairs into it. Damn pricy parts.
