I was wondering where the air filter is on my moped???? is it in that black box above the tranny fuel fill bolt???? and also how should i clean it??? and should i oil it when i re-install it???
please lemme know because i have to do this tomorrow...

There's a Rubber boot kinda thingie on the back of the carb, and under that is the airfilter, it's a round screen-lookin thingie, and you clean it by soaking it in gas and maybe scrubbin a bit on it, then blowing it out.
The problem is that in order to do this you have to dismount the transmission (do search for "tomos boatload") to get to the damn thing.
The plastic airbox behind the carb you can just wash out in the sink.

I like to use break cleaner to clean air filters. It has the tube, so it blasts the dirt away. Plus, it dries faster than any other cleaner, (carb cleaner, etc.).
or is it brake cleaner...
Do i need to oil that filer in the box above the fill bolt?????
