The General Assembly convenes January 10, 2001, in Richmond Virginia.

House Bill HB 557

http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?011+sum+HB557

threatens to make mopeds into motorcycles in Front Royal, Virginia,

with the related registration and licensing of mopeds and riders,

liability insurance, state inspections, personal property taxes, etc.

House Bill HB 1562

http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?011+sum+HB1562

would make riding a moped without a helmet in Virginia a $50 traffic violation.

and email them, or better, write to them and ask them to oppose these bills

(e.g., The Honorable full name/address, and Dear Senator or Delegate last name).
