flathead screwdriver, spark plug tool, rag, insurance papers..
i think thats it for me..
Depends on the bike, but one mine a 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, and 19mm wrench (stock toolkit), adjustable wrench, spark plug and tool, flathead screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers, ~5oz of Mobil 2T, about 4 oz of 25:1 premix, handful of zip-ties, bit of duct tape, couple shop rags. All this fits neatly into the side box on my Grande. If I were riding that far I'd add a tube and tire iron for sure, extra belt, and 24mm socket for working on the variator, small can of carb cleaner, and a bit more gas.
If your moped is in good shape, then mostly flat tire fixing stuff, tools, patch kit, bottle of Slime, a few rags or paper towels, pump, WINDEX, and several tubes of the appropriate size. The WINDEX is for helping to get the tire on and off the rim, finding leaks, and cleaning your hands when you are done. Peace. Jerry.
Extra spark plugssss!! 13/16 spark plug socket, rachet, adjustable wrench (x2), ziptubes, black tape, rag, small tire pump, tube patchs, extra inner tube (if avaible), screwdrivers (phillips + flat), etc... its amazing what tape, ties, and rags will do for you. Oh yeah, if your doing night riding bring a light. I've had to change tires in pitch black before. And extra jets is a plus, with the way temps fall i've raise several size's to comp.
A crappy set of wrenches -- I think they're 8, 10, 12, 14, and 17mm. A crappy adjustable wrench. A tire gauge (but that's pretty crappy too. I need a new one.) A small air pump. Small cans of WD40 and carb cleaner. Zip ties -- big and small. Electrical tape. At least one clean rag and a ziplock baggie to put it once it's coated in a thick layer of grime. A flat screwdriver. A slotted screwdriver. Extra hair ties (sometimes the wind rips them out, so it's nice to have extras). Two bottles of oil that I thought I had marked correctly but I don't think are actually that accurate. A spark plug wrench and at least two extra spark plugs. If I wasn't worthless at changing tires, I'd probably also carry tire irons and a spare tube. The only thing I think I want to add to this collection is a few sockets, although first I want to work on making something to organize it all a little better.
And in my purse I have all my registration-type paperwork, a flashlight, and a mirror (useful for looking at the underside of the engine without crawling around on the ground).
I carry some heavy wire, and a leathermans.
3 oz. bottle of oil, cheapo socket set, bike multi tool, regular multi tool, crescent wrench, shake-to-charge flashlight and krazy glue for semi-serious injury.
hahaha Krazy glue... my best friend! I have glued on filets of myself, and healed well!!! That stuff's a meat saver!
a couple dildos.
oil, flathead, 10mm, spark plug wrench, extra plug, adjustable end wrench, pliers, slime, decent small pump, zip ties (as many as you can fit), maybe a spare m6 nut and bolt, and a rag. That should get you anywhere. If your bike is in good shape, all you have to worry about is flats (avoid glass). One of the peugeot multi-tools is also quite handy.
my small pocket knife and a cellphone
everything. last night we did a night cruise and my finicky frenchy bike broke twice.
first time the tail light went out.. so we pulled over, and used a flashlight to see what we were doing. phillips head screwdrivered off the tail light cover, checked the wiring, turns out it was a bad ground. used some extra wire to extend the ground wire about 6 inches to the rear rack, and zip ties and electrical tape to hold it there. worked great.
second time my ped stalled and my decomp was broken, so i couldnt start it up again. busted out an extra cable, some pliers, a knarp, and a few wrenches and we were able to completely replace my cable.
it was a damn good cruise... shit breaking, but still being able to fix it and fix it well. the point is, i would have been screwed if i didnt have my tools on me, but i carry all my tools on me, all the time. everything i have to work on my bikes at home comes with me on the journeys.
if you were riding with me and my bad luck, i'd say bring a couple of spare mopeds.
but you're not, so what everybody else said.
extra AAA battery for blinky light, flash light (if its dark), some sort of tire levers, bicycle air pump, flat head, phillips. thats all i take.
oh and of course extra spark plug and spark plug wrench.
