Sometimes when I post on this site, in my email I get letter saying: "Returned mail user unknown" and at the end of the email, my post is there. What is going on here ?!?!?
Sometimes when I post on this site, in my email I get letter saying: "Returned mail user unknown" and at the end of the email, my post is there. What is going on here ?!?!?
If you reply to a post, and someone else in the thread has checked "email replies to this thread, to the address above", then it sends out an email from you to them with the text of your post in it.
So if somebody put in an email address that wasn't valid, and then clicked the "email replies" checkbox, it would bounce back to you when you respond to their post.

I do so love the email feature.
Phorum is an awesome piece of software! I use it at work for our corporate level communications and they all have a blast on it. It really has helped streamline some things around the company.
I'm considering adding an option so that you can be emailed replies without actually replying. This could be useful for people who just want to keep up with a discussion, but don't actually have anything to add to it yet.
