FUCK FUCK FUCK

I bought a Minarelli V1 NOS kit on eBay for $70 from handybikes and everything went fine but when I was checking things out last night I realized the piston is too big for the cylinder...With the rings compressed fully (and even when off) the piston is slightly too large to fit inside the cylinder.I'm emailing them right now in hopes of a quick response so that I can work things out.

Shit.

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

get some one who knows what they r doing to bore your cylinder out

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

That's a thought. There is a shop close to me but I don't trust them with anything really...

I emailed BJ at HB and I'm hoping I can work something out because it doesn't make sense that this doesn't fit.

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

Just hone it a bunch. It's not that hard. Just do it right. A blessing in disguise?

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

Handybikes is honest, they will make things right. The piston should easily fit in the cylinder without the rings. Sounds like mismatched parts. Peace. Jerry.

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

and yes, it is that hard to hone it CORRECTLY. unless you have calipers, micrometers, and a good rod hone.

Re: FUCK FUCK FUCK

Or just some liquid abrasive. Just put some between the two parts and rub them together. Thats what we do with trumpet pistons, and they have smaller tolerances than engines.

But that wouldn't work here cause it would need to fit inside. Get a new one.
