What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Criminy. I've been trying to get my rigid project tuned and it seems every time I go out for a test ride, I wipe out. I've lost it twice in probably five total minutes of riding. I'm pretty aware of the inside-pedal-up concept but I wonder if I'm getting lazy. I've never waxed on any moped before. Is this normal? lol

It helps if you don't drink a 12 pack before you ride. :P

I'm working on a rigid project now, and you got me scared. I hope they're not tippy by design.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Gloves FTW.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Looks like you're going to have some fun digging gravel out of yours hands.

I guess just wear gloves and your full face every time you ride it? Sucks man, hope it's not a trend.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

With no suspension on the rear any little thing that you hit while leaned over in a corner will make the rear end bounce and lose traction. Once you lose traction in a corner you are dead meat.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Yikes sorry to hear that bry

hey did you just drop it or did it pedal spin?

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

I'm just glad that nothing is scratched (on the bike) aside from the ends of the pedals and grips.

Great, my body is going to look like Amy Winehouse's and Pete Doherty's after one of their famous YouTube drug binges.

Bry, The Breakfast Mafia is ready to do an intervention, just say the word;)

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Why do I have a feeling that the intervention would result in the loss of the moped?

Rigid all the way. I have eaten it way more times on my 50v than my 40. It took me a while to get accustom to feeling every single little bone rattling bump, but now it is the only way.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

Doing it wrong? Haha. Inside pedal up, lean, turn, slide into oncoming traffic. What's wrong with that?

Top heavy? That is a possibility. Lately, I've slacked off on the running a bit.

I may show up to Kzoo with some nice deerskin gardening gloves.

I'm just glad I wasn't wearing my nice Members Only jacket.

Re: What the hell? Do rigids just fall over??

you should get some glove gloves, man.. i use bmx ones because they are light, protective and pretty cheap.

Rigids do just fall over, expecially if I back up into them.
