Doesn't seem that difficult. Whoops ashes in the face yesterday, amused onlookers. I'm considering smoking a Black & Mild rather than a Camel because it won't burn out as quickly, has the plastic tip, and just for effect too. =)
Who else smokes and rides? IIRC someone modded their bike (one of you SF guys?) to put a cig lighter on it.
it might help if you hold the lit object behind your back, obviously not too close as to ignite your clothing, but enough to keep it out of the wind.
things burn WAY faster when you are riding. i smoked a 60 ring punch and it burned out in less than 10 minutes. also, dont eat ice cream cones when you are riding. they melt too fast to eat.
I have a funny picture in my head of you trying to eat ice cream at 100 mph on one of your big bikes. hahahhaha.

Yeah, it's kind of a waste of a cig to smoke it while riding. It's annoying, you get ash in your face, and it burns so fast you only get like 4 drags. But, I do it anyways. haha
still funny. Maybe even funnier. Did you make a sad face when you leaned over to take a lick and it was gone?
haha. yes i did. and it melted all down my hand and forearm, and i didnt want to get ice cream on the grip. so i rode home one-handed. it was a sad ride. i love ice cream.
i smoke cigs while riding but i try to smoke cigars instead. they burn quicker but they alst longer then cigs.
gotta cup the cig with your hand...thats the trick...
but yeah my buddy brett smokes the little cigars with wooden tips all the time...pretty much constantly when riding.

IMO Getting a bug in th eye is nothing compared to getting a hot ash in the eye. Been there, done that. Jim
Smoke a pipe! Wayyy easier to control your burn rate, also the great smell could offset the lawnmower smell. You can also do nifty things like hang it out the corner of your mouth so any escaping ashes miss you, and you can slip it still lit in your pocket when you pump gas or go into businesses. Besides smoking a pipe is the only way to truly enjoy tobacco, cigars are a close second but cigarettes are only good for a fix and nothing else.

i mastered the art of smoking while leaving the cig in the corner of your mouth. im also gonna drill a hole in my helmet and start smoking 120s.

full face helmets with the visor down makes smoking a snap. plus all the smoke pouring out makes it look like your heads gonna blast off!

I agree with wiffleball, a pipe is the way to go. Just keep the bowl angled down or the top ash will be all up your face. A standing pipe is a good option as well with the bowl sitting much lower. Or just cup the cancer stix with your hand as was mentioned earlier, it just looks like your palming a joint.

Its all about being dehydrated and having a lot of mucus in your saliva. Wet your lips, put the cig in your mouth and ride. When the water in your spit evaporates the mucus remains, glueing the cig to your bottom lip. That way you can talk and the cig just kind of hangs there cartoonishly. I role my own so it looks even weirder. People look at you at stop lights as you sing to yourself like that and they're just like "please god turn green" Also if you don't dig being dehydrated you can eat some sour patch kids prior to your smoke, and they will provide the adhesive.

I smoke, so, what of it? Not your lungs. Don't worry about it. Get off the soapbox. And, I'm 35, not 15. I don't do it to look cool, I do it because I enjoy smoking.

Hole in the helmet LMAO. Someone needs to design a helmet-mounted apparatus with a little wind screen one could just put a cig or cigar into and leave it there. That spells potential disaster, however (fuck my cig fell down my face / shirt / burning me, heavy traffic). Bears some thought tho... =)

How do you dispose or put out? I'll usually pull into a parking lot and do a stomp, then stick the butt in my pocket. But if I get caught on a long wave I have to squish the cherry in my left hand.
I oughta check out the meerschaum pipe idea. Keeping it lit seems ideal, and it should go over well here in Kalifornia
