Puch front shocks question

Hello all, I have a 1980 Maxi Luxe and the front forks do not "telescope" at all. They are just solid. Did Puch ever make any models without front shocks or is there just something wrong with mine? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Puch front shocks question

Are they all one piece? If they are 2 piece, they have springs in them, but could be stuck. I've never seen a Puch with rigid forks, maybe they came off something else. Got a picture? Peace. Jerry.

Re: Puch front shocks question

Thanks for the reply. Mine looks exactly like the one pictured here.

Re: Puch front shocks question

The Puch Maxi N has a rigid frame, but has front shocks too. A picture would help. Sounds like it's stuck to me.

Re: Puch front shocks question

Sounds like all of them came with springs in them...I will take them apart and see what the problem is. Thanks guys!!

Re: Puch front shocks question

The one in the picture has suspension forks, probably just stuck. Remove the nut on top, and pull them apart. They are really simple. Probably just need new bushings (cheap) and new grease. Peace. Jerry.
