1991 TOMOS Golden Bullet TT-LX A3 50

Took apart the engine stop switch last night.

Been having a bit of a hard time starting it.

Presumed it was just because I don't know what I am doing yet.

But, then noticed that the headlight wasn't working and when I pushed the wire tight into the engine stop switch casing it would work.

Found a bit of corosion around one of the wires. Perhaps its just the way it was sodered for a solid connection.

Ends of the wires looked a little frayed and not tight around the screws. And, the tiny little blue piece of metal that contacts with the screw to make an on/off connection didn't seem like it was making a super tight connection.

Sprayed some wd-40 to remove the corosion.

Is there a better setup for this switch?

If I mess with the wires I assume I am going to have to solder the wire connections back together?

Just curious.
