Bi Turbo Leaking?

Ataristyle /

I found a way to tighten up my Bi Turbo muffler on my '98 Tomos Targa LX. I tightened up were the muffler meets the engine as tight as possible and it is much more quite. I can still feel a little bit, not as much as I had before, coming out between the engine and muffler. My friend, supposedly, said that his does the same thing. So this might be normal? Please post if yours runs with a little leak. I'm interested in how other people have theirs set up. Thanks.

I'm gonna try installing the 27 tooth sprocket tonight if I get some extra time.

RE: Bi Turbo Leaking?

the mounting end of the muffler might not be entirly flat either, especially if it has been loose.. make sure the mounting end is flat or atleast mounts flat up against the cylindar.

RE: Bi Turbo Leaking?

You should use a new gasket. Gasket take shape to fit perfectly between two parts, but most of them can only be used once.
