Hmmm ... I don't really like scooters myself. I don't like how they handle, the weight is too far to the back wich makes them wanna fall over in the corners. I'm not very fond of plastic bodyworks either. But that's my personal opinion.
I ride a Honda SS50 (drivers like a dream), check the photo's of Honda's on this site, the 1974 Honda SS50ZE SOHC is mine.

You have to check out the Kymco "People" model, the plastic is nice and the turning lights are all recessed into the body. This model also has full size 16 inch tires for stability !!! If you see a picture of it you will see that it is not the average scooter. And if you ride one, you will want one.

I went to their website...they offer several models called "people".
Which one did you get?...what engine size?
What is your top speed?
How much do they cost?
Do you need a full motorcycle license plate and insurance?
Fred
its a 50 cc bike , actually 49cc which means you dont need a motorcle license or helmet in my state of Florida
i have hit 45 mph easily and 50 on a slight downslope.
it is a new model and cost me $2000 , actually I bought one for the wife also so double that- thank God for plastic money
it does require plates in Florida but not insurance
If you ride one you will be very impressed.
I have also seen the 125cc and 150cc models on the website but these are only available in Europe i believe
Folks on the street are always asking me where i got it because it is such a nice bike.
I plan on putting some pictures on the Mopedarmy photo page as soon as my wife shows me how

Yep, I'm in Holland. The Honda 4-stroke is still quite common. They drive like a dream and they last forever, mine is 27 years old and still performs as new and it still looks good too.
ivo
your bike is in great conditon for 27 years old !!!!!!!!!
i wish i could get my hands on a 125 cc or 150cc Kymco People model but they dont sell that large a bike in the US. only yamaha and honda- i guess they have the market wrapped up because of some stupid law about bikes over 50 cc need a foot brake
Can u give me any info on how much one would cost over by you? id like to buy one over there and then ship it here to Florida USA.
i presently have a 50 cc Kymco People model
thanks

Well, you're out of luck. We've got stupid laws too: no moped may have more than 50cc's here in Holland, so there's no way you buy a new 125cc or 150cc model here, they're illegal.
And about my 27-year-old bike looking good; Yes it does! And I'm proud of it!
ivo
man do i hate those stupid laws restricting scooters
I mean they arent guns or anything dangerous
anyway, if i find out how to get a 125 cc or 150cc Kymco People and then ship it here to the USA i will let you know how i did it
