You make no mention of how you set up the rings. Did you gap them properly and how are you inserting the cylinder onto the piston? How are you lubing the piston and cylinder for assembly? Any issues with the chamfer (presuming there is one) on the skirt of the cylinder? Have you read Rebel Moby's collection of posts in the wiki?
