I have a NOS Motobecane 70mph speedometer. They were used on the 1970/71 50v's sold in Canada with he square headlight. It uses the standard speedo drive and mount as later USA models.

A Romeo Thunderhawk frame has to be rare at this point. I have a Team Nerdspeed Swamp Thing 50cc cylinder, Careless Whisper Polycarbonate Flywheel Cover & Flamethrower circuit pipe. All kinda rare.

I've been riding and building mopeds for well over a decade and I've never heard of "nerdspeed" anything. What's a swamp thing? Are you confused, this sounds like a post on a nascar forum. Careless Whisper? George Michael didn't even ride mopeds afaik.

The two rarest things in my garage are:

1) The late model Solo transmission combo with the hydro-drive and two speed pulley. No clutch assembly, just baffles and fluid to pull the bike. Starter clutch removed for pull start only action.

2) A Bidalot LC MBK race cylinder and head combo that I won at GP Midwest. No clue when I'll build it but eventually...

I wonder if how well it works on the takeoff, my guess is smooth but ultra slippy like a new garelli rubber one. Maybe some madman could adapt a small fluid coupling to a more accessible motor (if a tiny go kart one was ever made)

It definitely has a weird feeling to it. Rev it all the way up and just hangs there while it gets moving. No rpm drop at all, which is good to get the two speed to grab.
