The motorcycle show near Lancaster pa was a hot spot for moped parts. Of other things I got a pile of HS spark plugs. The majority being of the competition variety. Has Anybody played with these?
B7HS has been a pretty reliable plug for my so far! It’s a little on the hotter end and you can’t beat NGK quality
Yo! It is like a 1/2 side gap. Those look amazing. I use to side gap every plug I ran. Pretty cool to see they made those like that.
Plus’s it looks like other changes too…..damn cool find. Let us know if they run good. (edited)
CS is "low angle ground electrode"
We cut the electrode back midway like that back in the seventies to gain a little racing along with indexing the plugs.. the purpose was to have less chance to jump to the side … never thought about it but it might be of some help on a 2 stroke
Side gapping improvements are pretty marginal but if you’re min/maxing everything then hell yeah.
Also looks like these are a little higher compression (less cavity)
I can see a bunch of changes, also interesting that they made the housing thicker and beveled out the housing around the electrode.
I've seen a few really high output 2t melt the ground electrode right off, maybe that's the idea here?
i like the bevel idea, i mean the plug face is part of the compression dome. maybe it helps?
Yeah it makes a lot of sense. I had a bike that ran e85 that I played with a bunch, getting the plug perfectly flush and side gapping. I think it helped but hard to say.
It’s a spark plug! Don’t get your hopes up!
