Dual Engine Moped - From Mustie1

Home built fabrication, Schwinn frame, powerplants are two backpack leafblower engines. It still pedals, the gas tank is two old canteens melded together, the exhausts are from two old pewter style teapots, with lids that flutter when the engine runs. Front wheel is from two racing wheelchair wheels melded together. Rear wheel is Schwinn 'big tire' original wheel. Front brake is the original Schwinn caliper brake. Rear foot brake is linked to a friction wheel in the drive train. The rear fender is from an industrial fan grill. One of the tensioners is from an old ratchet, another is an old skateboard wheel. The rest of the contraption is cobbled together from old tools and kitchen utensils. I don't know if Mustie1 is on this site, but if he isn't he should be:

I think he said that these engines are 72cc's each for a total of 144cc's.

They are belt-synchronised 180° opposed to one another. (edited)

I just can't make myself think it's better to use a ton of time and energy making two engines work together than it is to just make a bigger engine. Maybe with fuckin jets or something.

I'm unenthused by this concept, but at least impressed by the skill required.

Like, wtf is the point of a rear fender that doesn't fend anything? Two front wheels? Seems like it'd be hard to pull out of a straight line with that setup.

And what is there to be proud of about a Schwinn frame? It's just absolutely the wrong tool for the job.

Sorry! I knew something was wrong with it.

Here (skip up to 10:56, it's about one minute long where it shows the one in this thread, the entire video is under 15 minutes though), it shows him starting it with the original pull starter rope, then he putts around for about a minute:

Right? But wait - he destroyed two Schwinn 'fat tire' bikes to make the one extended frame. I just have to give points for removing, at least two, of those monstrosities from circulation.

The fender that doesnt fend looks heavy inspired by the el solitario impostor

I think chopper builds are great when done with a little humour but this is just some dude with obvious skills but meh tastes. If you want to be OCC go buy a real harley.

Yeah this thing is pretty bad. The two front wheel thing just plain dangerous. If you want to see cool multi engine builds look for those Turkish moby or Peugot builds. I see them on Instagram all the time. Twin and even four cylinder setups.

If you watch the video and hear those engines running, they're synchronised pretty right - by using belts too. At least by the audio from that one day.
