That's exactly what dirty carbs can do .

Re: Tomos A35 problems

Still sounds like a dirty carb. Shas are only single jet, if it gets clogged up, it wont run. Check for spark when it dies. If it has spark but won't start. It's fuel or air related.

Well even the electric has been acting up horn works when it wants

Re: Tomos A35 problems

That's another issue to sort out. The ignition is separate from other electronics on tomos.

Yellow from stator feeds regulator, which feeds the lights and horn.

Ignition is just the black wire coming out of the stator to the hot lead on the cdi/coil (usually red) which is also connected to the kill switch. The other lead on the cdi/coil (usually brown) is grounded. Check that all those connections are secure.

Cdis usually work when they're good or don't when they go bad. They're not intermittent like a condenser with points ignitions. Unless there's a bad ground or witing short.

Well cleaned it with air as well an it still acting stupid not it's not wanting to start at all an it's does got good spark

Re: Tomos A35 problems

Not to sound dumb but you do have fuel in the tank? Could be a clogged fuel filter too. Also make sure there isn’t a loose wire somewhere in the ignition system.
