My current thought is to take the crank to a shop where they can press the conn rod out, clean up everything, put a new big end bearing on and press it back together. There isn't any pitting or scoring on the crank so it seems to me like that would work.
As far as the crankcase, I'm planning to pull all the bearings and take it (along with all the other nasty part) to the machine shop to have them hot tank everything. Then I can put new bearings in and slap stuff back together.
Does this all sound reasonable?
