STL Files

Ryan Rappoport /

I am going to start 3d scanning and reproducing plastic parts from mopeds.

so far, all the parts I have that I will scan are the following. Honda nc50 footpeg covers, headlight bucket/ring, carb cover and oil pump cover.

Suzuki fa50 headlight bucket,

suzuki fz50 headlight bucket, oil cover plastics, and airbag.

Yamaha qt50 headlight bucket/ring, footpeg covers, side covers and battery box.

I would love to hear what all parts y'all would like to have made. the parts will be 3d printed so it would be best if they did not get covered in gas or oil.

I have not seen that. Thank you!

Re: STL Files

Hi Ryan. I’m going to end up not using my qt50 headlight. If you cover shipping I’d gladly send it to you along with anything I might be able to send to you with it? I also have the battery box by not the latch. And the front grill piece (edited)

I bet the scans are pretty accurate with today's technology. Is anyone printing in carbon fiber commercially? It would be a blast to design my own moped frame in solidworks and get it printed in CF. I have printed a sample part in PC and let it soak in gas for a week, no affect noticed in the material. A translucent tank in PC would look awesome against the CF.

Re: STL Files

I wish someone would print the under seat compartment for the tool kit on a City Bike.

Re: STL Files

Does anybody know where I can find an airbox cover for a Yamaha QT50? I was thinking of getting one 3D printed. Thoughts?
