Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

I had this Maxi N that was sweet. But as old age gets me I find my back just cant take it any more. I have decided to convert it to soft tail.

I just finished the frame modifications. Now I have to put all the parts back on and take it for a smooth ride! Check out my video I made of it.

Re: Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

I watched your video. Uh, why didn't you just use the blue frame? I thought there was a high demand for Maxi N frames.

Re: Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

Why not just use the blue frame?

Re: Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

That came out awesome!

I totally get it, all the street cred from a maxi N but you can still be comfortable. Not all of us are tiny hipsters anymore.

I guess I could have used the blue frame. but it was only a 1.5 HP frame and not I have a 2 hp soft tail maxi N. So thats even cooler.

Re: Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

Now weld the hard tail to the blue gas tank so that you have two complete frames again? lol

Re: Maxi N rigid to Soft Tail conversion

Jb weld the other half’s together and see how long it holds

This definitely a fucking joke! That’s so stupid

Totally normal JBOT /

I think it’s great.

I did that to my Columbia sport.

Hard tail with janky thin non swing arm that I welded a hero angel swing arm to. Much more comfy now

Hiya, How's the thumb? I think you should paint the frame Blood Red to remind you how much of a fight those two frames gave you :p

I can honestly say that^ .

My left thumb x-ray looked like a tuning fork after a mishap with a skilsaw .

I'll never be able to pick up anything very thin and flat with that thumb .

Ha . You can have it . I don't want it . LOL

Doc told me it might grow back . That was about 35 years ago .

I do still have a functional thumb . Just scared for life and slightly , as noted above , less than totally useful . ;)

So I slept on this comment before posting …. But cutting up that Red frame seems extremely short sighted in retrospect. Will all look back at a post like this in a decade and be like what the heck………
