If that motor has an internal gear set up to have a drive come out up and back , maybe .

Re: What is my Moped?

I see a sprocket on that motor.

Re: What is my Moped?

Here. It has a clutch with sprocket. I'm sure theybhad a chain going to the back wheel. I bet it's lined up with the rear sprocket (edited)

Yup . On the back side of the old clutch . ;)

Re: What is my Moped?

The chain is wrapped around the seat post. Toss that baby on and give her hell.

That clutch isn't on the crankshaft or does it have shoes in it. MAYBE it's driver off the cam gear? That pulley it mounted on the crankshaft........

No idea what this is, BUT, Mustie1 recently posted a couple of videos on a Rupp that has a somewhat similar setup. If you’re going with this setup, I’d suggest taking a look at his videos. Find him on YouTube. It may be somewhat helpful. He hasn’t finished the bike yet, but it could help you get started.

His videos are fantastic. Very high quality and he explains WHY he’s doing what he’s doing.

Re: What is my Moped?

My guess is it had shoes in that part with the sprocket on it and was like a go cart clutch...i would like to see a pic showing a better view of the belt pully where it is attached to the motor (edited)

Some of those small engines have two crank shafts. They have a gear reduction box. Old snowblowers have the same setup. One drives the wheels and the other drives the auger. My rototiller has that setup also.

Re: What is my Moped?

I think it like this one. I'm sure that engine came from a snowblower or tiller. Who knows? It's definitely a junkyard wars build. I miss that show!

Re: What is my Moped?

I have one of those clutches on a motor that came out of a toro snowblower

it was abandoned on the road side on trash day, i fixed it and tried to return it to the guy working but he didnt want it. used it for a winter and then we got gifted a bigger blower and i tore that one down for parts. It looks really similar to that one, it's not a Briggs, and runs and drives a 400 chain but i've got nothing to put it on.

Re: What is my Moped?

You could take that 3.5 motor off the frame, fix it and drop it into an old doodlebug mini bike frame. Pick up a predator 212 from HF (if you can find one) and mount it behind the seat. That clutch is reverse mounted like a mini bike so teeth are towards the motor. You can get new clutches and chain, chain breakers etc at gopowersports or bmikarts.

An airpump for roadside assistance?

Hmm ... Maybe you could share exactly what you're smoking . ;)

Its was originally a sachs powered low renter like a yardman or commuter or Clinton that someone threw a Briggs on. In other words, you got the most hillbilly fucked over trailer park special.

Correct. That motor has one crankshaft and its centered in the engine case with the wind up starter while having a pulley on it that has no key or a sheered key. The clutch is mounted to a jack shaft which probably spins at a different speed...

Yo that’s fucking dope!

Re: What is my Moped?

that is a Jawa 207 frame/wheels

looks like the mounting holes are intact

you just need to buy a complete Jawa 207 engine with carb & exhaust pipe

Re: What is my Moped?

rear fender is not stock Jawa

sell that Clinton

Re: What is my Moped?

I have that same Clinton engine (pictured), if you should need it let me know I’d be willing to sell. It has compression and spark but the carb is missing so I’ve never had it running.

Post a pic of the other side showing the drive pulley/clutch. (edited)

Yeah my thoughts also, not sure I would trust that at speed. Maybe cleanup those welds a bit and at least make sure they are actually solid.

Here’s the other side of the engine, no clutch on it, just a pulley on the crankshaft.
