Once again taking a ped to work

I have used this homemade moped rack that I fabricated 10 years ago on my latest truck. I have used the same rack on two other trucks and it always fits with minor adjustment to the Clamps. All aftermarket additions have to clamp to the trucks frame rather than using bolts as your not allowed to drill holes in a commercial motor vehicle truck frame.

I used a old barbecue cover to keep road sand snow and salt off the bike but after a week it tore to shreds and the bike was soooo dirty I didn't even want to bring it down for a ride.

Here is the ped visiting a great park. I can't remember where. A bike cop told me not to lay on the grass with that "motorcycle". He was the only police I saw in that whole town. Not one singe police car on the trip from the Truckstop to that park.

Yes mopeds are the greatest for striking out and seeing beautiful places and great things.

Mopeds ARE the greatest!

You ought to think about greasing up that fifth wheel.

Re: Once again taking a ped to work

You visited half a McDonalds sign.

Re: Once again taking a ped to work

I used to haul around a beat up Skyway TA on the sleeper bunk. I converted the front axle of the mag to a quick release. I HATED walking in some areas because the local vermin would try and corner you for all sorts of crazy stuff, a bicycle would keep you moving quickly. My flatbed had the rear fenders over the drive wheels.

Haha Motorhead. Actually I never grease that half of the fifth wheel plate. When I took it in for an oil change they always squirt that on there like that. I keep a gallon bucket of Grease and a wide putty knife and I go under and I grease the trailer 5th wheel plate. It's less messy when you back under the trailer

You were so close to the Cardinals' stadium and could have crossed off a 30 Ballpark Challenge pic. Now I'm gonna have to do it.

Cool man, and nice looking 102!

Re: Once again taking a ped to work

Totally normal JBOT /

I wanna bring the moped on tour but I’d barely have time to ride it, then if I got hit or crashed the rest of the tour would be fucked.

Believe me JBOT I think of this often. Same scenario with me, If I got hit or wrecked and couldn't drive the truck the company would be fucked and have to fly someone in to rescue their property.

But on the other hand stress relief is healthy too. Pray and hope for the best.

Re: Once again taking a ped to work

Nice! Your bike is very close to my green 79 Pug 102. My rear fender is painted and I have rectangular reflectors by the headlight. Happy trails...

Re: Once again taking a ped to work

Yeah that's rad, I remember you telling me about that years ago, I guess when you drive the biggest thing on the road ya gotta switch it up.

I have been thinking for awhile about making something light and easy to chuck in the back of a trunk or pickup. I drive a Subaru wagon that can fit mopeds but not without some hassle, gonna have to figure something out that goes right in without too much screwing around.
