Noticed the one of the crank seal was gone. Ordered a new one. I checked the piston and it’s in the right direction. Once I get the new seal In, I’ll pressure test and time with the gun. Thanks for the info. It really helped me out finding out one problem

BTW... What's holding that pipe in place? Typically these pipes have two points of attachment on a Hobbit one is up front but there's also going to be another one to the subframe which is what I'm pointing to. Whether or not the pipe that's on this water cooler Will survive long rides with vibration I don't know I picked this up from a land squitter who I think she wanted at a contest she had really sweet graphics on her ride. I was just wondering whether by some chance it was attached to the upper part of the body that's above the shocks I don't know it could be just an optical illusion but if it is....

I'm not talking about that length... I'm talking about the second point of attachment of the pipe.

He's saying that if you even sit on this bike with the exhaust pipe mounted like it is, it is going to either break the studs that hold the pipe on or the pipe itself. You can't mount the pipe to the frame since the entire motor/subframe assembly pivots on the frame, ya dig?
The fabricator welded it like that. It was no supposed to go there. That bracket is going on the subframe

Update so I changed the crank seal on the ignition side. Went to harbor freight and bought a seal remover. Since most videos I seen most ppl weren’t using the right tool. Took 2 seconds to remove. Used the ignition adapter plate to the HPI to properly put seal in correct and not insert it too deep. Also changed the trick metra gasket to the Honda dio reed adapter. (It looked sketchy) put it back on time. You know the HPI inner rotor does not use a woodruff key. So once I put everything back together. I used the timing light. And this is we’re I’m confused. So I don’t know if I put the flywheel on backwards. Or I have to move the stator . I marked the flywheel with a white tape where the manual says to and it Ignites opposite of where the stator is on picture 1. And in picture 2 it shows where the opposite firing point fires off. So this is where I’m stuck “newbie” so according to the instruction guide this engine rotates to the right. Correct ? What am I doing wrong ? (edited)
Set the piston at 2.25mm BTDC and then line up the bigger line that furthest from most clockwise with the line on the rotor. Carefully torque the nut so it doesn’t slip, then check it with the light. I have had them where they want to run backward and I have to use the opposite rotational direction marks to time it properly, but that is like 2-3 times out of about 50 installations.
Hobbits cranks rotate clockwise as you face it. So timing is to the left of TDC ie piston is still rising.
Yes, tomorrow I’m going to try the opposite as the instruction. And check with the timing light
And don't use that big bastard impact to turn the crank, you will snap it off, use a drill with the spark plug removed.

That looks like 180* at both spots it is firing. HPI will fire twice per rotation.

So we got a update on the Hobbit that some of y’all thought it would never run.
So a friend of mines got it to fire up “yay” the problem was a combination of things, airleaks head gasket it seem good but it was not,Honda dio reed block and adapter,
So currently waiting on a few parts, and to get it up and running strong. Then going to re weld the pipe closer to the engine and not so far back. …!! Too bad I have to adult and pay bills and can’t just order the parts needed but whatever. So In the mean time I put on together this puch N and doing a solid 50mph 💪🏼💪🏼 I’m getting pretty good at this..!! Thanks to all those who gave advice y’all rock….!! And the trolls I hope y’all cleaned your rooms..!! Or they will take your devices away for a month..!! Lol

I highly doubt it. Since bought the frame for $80 and bought another puch just to swap all the parts. Then I bought Al the pieces on Treatland and put tot together. Plus I live in mass. Gheesh

A) poor subframe design is whack
B) Lack of properly designed aftermarket intakes is really huge
C) Icky front clutch: if I wanted a DV bike with front clutch I would choose Derbi everytime and gain a lot from that choice
All that said single speed hobbits are cute, have and would own another.
I'd rather build a liquid cooled Derbi or Vespa any day of the week, otherwise.
